Rhys Vineyards Skyline Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009 - Bt | PR95

HK$1,100.00

Bt (750ml)

Stock Location: HK

Tasting note

The site's first exceptional vintage, the 2009 Pinot Noir Skyline Vineyard is a decidedly generous, textural expression of the vineyard, yet contains enough stuffing to support the more aggressive extraction methods Rhys used during this era, which were already beginning to change with this vintage. Initially quite closed on the nose, it gradually reveals a dark-fruited core paired with the site's signature spice-driven nuances, followed by one of the plumper, punchier and denser mouthfeels in the entire vertical. The finish fuses this generosity with a laser-focused, mineral-laden core and lingering refined tannins laced with a final round of spice-driven complexity.

Score: 95
