Tasting note
The 2019 Savennières La Vigne Cendrée, made from a small yield of six hectoliters per hectare (due to spring frost), reveals a disarming purity of fruit with aromas of menthol, anise, sage and spring flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, dense and concentrated palate with bright acids and a delicate freshness. Compared to other vintages, it has a more pronounced bitterness, giving it a somber character that will soften with age.
