Tasting note

This is Pierre’s unconventional blend of fruit from the Cul de Beaujeu and Les Monts Damnés vineyards, 50% from each, vinified entirely in 600-litre and 300-litre barrels. At the time of tasting it had been assembled in steel cuve, with a small amount of lees. It will be bottled in spring 2018. The nose is smoky, intense, with white flowers and minerals. The palate is textured, supple, underpinned by slightly bitter citrus fruits. Intense, direct, self-assured and broad. It finishes clean, tense and long. Excellent quality.
