Tasting note

This cuvée takes us from more sandy soils to a more schistose terroir; it previously also took fruit from vines on rhyolite in Champs Bourcier, but no more. I find an array of soft, sandy minerals on the nose, with perfumed flowers and powdered flint, a reductive and pungently expressive style. The palate builds on this strong first impression, with a light-footed poise, open with a rather polished and seamless body, carrying layers of white pepper and white truffle, supported by a good phenolic grip and modest acidity. It concludes with a flourish of grip in the middle. This is a delight, and it should give good mid-term drinking. The alcohol on the label is 13%.
