We share in your excitement for the upcoming LA-LA-LA dinner, featuring the esteemed E. Guigal wines. E. Guigal is a legendary producer in the Rhone Valley, rooted in Ampuis and known for its exceptional wines from the Cote Rotie region. Their reputation spans generations, making them an iconic name in the Rhone Valley.
We will begin the night with the E. Guigal Ermitage Ex-Voto Blanc 2003, a white wine of remarkable quality. Following that, we will indulge in their renowned "La La La" Syrah from the 2009 and 2010 vintages, each earning a perfect RP100 score.
Among the three wines, La Mouline stands out as the most floral and feminine. It is a blend of Syrah and Viognier, showcasing aromatic complexity with notes of violets, blackberries, and spices. The wine's silkiness adds to its overall beauty.
La Landonne, a pure Syrah, is the most powerful and structured of the trio, boasting intense flavors of black fruit, smoked meat, and graphite. It typically benefits from additional bottle aging to reach its full potential.
As for La Turque, it is the youngest of the three cuvées, both in terms of its introduction and the average age of its vines (25 years). It strikes a balance between the other two wines, offering a darker and denser profile compared to La Mouline, while being less tannic and imposing than La Landonne.
