For those of you who know Minimalist Wines (or if you're new to the brand), the label is the brainchild of Sam Lambson, a talented young winemaker from South Africa with a knack for innovation and rich and balanced flavors. Even if you've tasted his wines before, Sam has a way of surprising and delighting with each new vintage – he's always pushing the boundaries.
Minimalist Wines is all about Sam’s fascination with minimal intervention and letting each vineyard tell its own unique story. It is about focusing on varietals he loves, treating them gently in the cellar, and then allowing nature to shine, rather than delivering formulaic wines each vintage. His passion is Syrah, but his adventurous spirit compels him to bottle small batches of interesting vineyard discoveries he makes every year under the EXPERIMENTAL label.
