Domaine Truchetet, a 7-hectare gem in Premeaux-Prissey near Domaine de la Vougeraie in Nuits-Saint-Georges, is a must-know for wine lovers seeking elegance and value in the Cote d’Or, producing village and Bourgogne-level Burgundy wines that over-deliver at attractive prices.
Sixth-generation siblings Julie and Morgan Truchetet, with Morgan’s wife, Pauline Genot, secured organic certification for this family estate in 2023, embracing a quality-driven, vineyard-focused approach. The estate tends 60-year-old vines🌱 with 1.8m stakes (above the 1.5m average), cover crops, biodynamic treatments, and hands-on care to enrich soil. Using minimal intervention and gravity-fed systems (no pumps), the winery preserves delicate aromatics and purity. A 20-person team hand-harvests grapes. Reds are destemmed or whole-cluster based on vintage and appellation. The cellar’s gentle handling ensures every sip delivers the tactile transparency Burgundy purists love.
Domaine Truchetet Bourgogne Pinot Blanc 2022 is a rare old-vine Pinot Blanc from Nuits-Saint-Georges, planted in 1986. Barrel-aged (half oak, half acacia). Good combination between roundness, freshness and precision. Only around 540 bottles made per year.
Domaine Truchetet Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits La Montagne 2022 comes from the elevated Pinot Noir vineyards of Chaux, situated on eroded limestone, imparting distinct minerality and freshness.
Domaine Truchetet Bourgogne Les Chaillots Vieilles Vignes 2022 is sourced from Pinot Noir old vines organically planted and farmed between 1955-1981 in the Chaillots parcel of Premeaux Prissey.
Domaine Truchetet Cote de Nuits Villages Les Bonnemaines 2022 is crafted from old vines planted in 1963 on the superbly positioned "Les Bonnemaines," just below the famed Clos de la Maréchale.
Domaine Truchetet Nuits-Saint Georges Vieilles Vignes 2022 showcases a nearly century-old blend from Lieu Dit “Les Charbonniers” (planted in 1924) and “Les Topons” (planted in 1953), located across from premier cru Clos des Forets on limestone-rich clay. The palate is juicy and elegant, with a delightful finish and aging potential of 15-20 years.
