For those who love the finesse of Burgundy, let us share a longtime favorite from our shelves 😚: Tawse Winery, nestled on the lower slopes of Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment🇨🇦. Since 2005, this organic winery, founded by Moray Tawse, has been crafting exceptional wines from a region celebrated for its remarkable potential. The Niagara Escarpment’s unique terroir—limestone-rich soils, moderated temperatures from Lake Ontario, steady breezes, and ideal slope orientation—creates an exceptional setting for crafting world-class wines that rival top cool-climate regions.
Tawse’s Chardonnays, elegant enough to stand alongside premier cru Burgundies, balance richness, minerality, and vibrant acidity with subtle toasty and zesty notes.
