Domaine Jomain At the Heart of Puligny-Montrachet
Located steps from the main square of Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Jomain is a family-run winery led by siblings Philippe, Christophe, and Catherine Jomain. Since 1992, their 9-hectare estate in Côte de Beaune has produced outstanding wines from prestigious vineyards, including Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (planted in 1950) and three Premier Crus: Les Pucelles (planted in 1968), Les Combettes (planted in 1982), and Les Perrieres (planted in 1976), all rooted in limestone and marl soils. The family values Burgundian winemaking as a cherished tradition.
Domaine Jomain’s style features vibrant minerality, crisp acidity, pure fruit, and refined complexity, showcasing the land’s character😌. Using sustainable culture raisonnée to minimize chemicals, the siblings hand-tend their vineyards, maintaining low yields for optimal ripeness and flavor. Grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed. Part of the must ferments in stainless steel for freshness, while the rest ferments in oak barrels (up to 25% new) for depth. Malolactic fermentation and extended lees contact with bâtonnage for at least 12 months create a rich, silky mouthfeel, followed by minimal filtration to preserve the wines’ lively tension and expressive flavor.
