Bt (750ml)
Stock Location: HK
Tasting note
Sourced from a site planted in 1968 by Emmanuel Lassaigne’s uncle—a site that achieves roughly 1.5% higher potential alcohol at harvest—the 2022 Coteaux Champenois Montgueux Blanc Haut Revers du Chutat is showing very well. It opens with a mélange of passion fruit, lemon zest and white flowers mingling with hints of pastry and nuts. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, simultaneously ample and bright, animated by vivid acidity and concluding with a persistent, saline finish. It was matured sur lie in seasoned 228-liter barrels for two years, lending it breadth and complexity.
Score: 92
