Tasting note
The 2011 Richebourg Grand Cru comes from old vines close to Domaine de la Romanee-Conti. It has a broody bouquet but very sophisticated, developing intensity with aeration, building moment by moment. The palate has a sorbet-like freshness on the entry with a curious note of white chocolate. It is well-defined with a hell of a lot of dry extract on the finish that is very long. This is a serious Richebourg that will lighten up as it gets older.
Score: 90-92
