(the Thiberts have 5 hectares here; just their third harvest from mostly 25-to30-year-old vines, but the Thiberts also have some 7-year-old vines that they planted on limestone and clay that Christophe says is similar to that of Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras): Pale yellow. Alluring aromas of mandarin orange and chalky minerality. Round and broad but vibrant too, with its density nicely cut by underlying minerality. Good pungent, stony, crisp wine with considerable early appeal.
