Tasting note

Reductive with perhaps a slight volatility as a top note, but well within my threshold. Fresh chiselled acidity at the back, a limestone wash, yet all with an impressive intensity of quality white fruit backed by perfectly integrated acidity. There is no doubting the length of the aftertaste. Drink from 2026-2034. Tasted May 2024 by Jasper Morris MW.

Tasting note

The 2014 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru was taken straight from a specially made barrel that can fit the domaine's entire production. It has a very compelling bouquet with scents of Granny Smith apple, limestone, freshly sliced pear and dried quince. It's difficult to drag your nostrils away from this elixir. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a keen line of acidity, wonderful salinity, a gentle build in the mouth towards a very harmonious and satisfying finish. This is loaded with potential and constitutes one of the most sublime expressions of Bâtard-Montrachet that you will find.

Score: 95-97
