Bt (750ml)
Stock Location: HK
Tasting note
The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses has an atypically broody nose at first, so leaving the glass aside for a couple of minutes, one can see it transforms as those bewitching scents of red berry fruit, minerals, dried flowers and candied orange peel emerge with wondrous precision. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm structure and a more masculine personality than I have experienced vis-a-vis other vintages. There is very good weight and a lovely spiciness towards the long and totally entrancing finish. Perhaps the Bonnes-Mares has the edge at the moment, but this is still a sublime Amoureuses.
Score: 95-97
