Tasting note
Bright medium red. Sexy but subdued aromas of blueberry and violet. Smooth and fine-grained but also with terrific energy to the flavors of dark fruits, violet and crushed stone. Lovely inner-mouth tension and lift here. Finishes with outstanding mineral thrust and savory persistence. Fourrier's Griottes-Chambertin is often overshadowed by his Clos Saint-Jacques in the early going, but not this year
Score: 94+
