Tasting note
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques is showing especially well from bottle, unwinding in the glass with aromas of smoky berries, cassis, exotic spices and potpourri. Full-bodied, layered and textural, with terrific depth at the core, supple tannins and a long, lively, resonant finish, it's worth a special effort to seek out.
