Dense dark crimson. The bouquet is surprisingly blocky after the grace of the earlier wines. Charles Lachaux feels that this is typical of the vineyard, offering more power than the softer Nuits-St-Georges Les Poisets. Darker fruit throughout, more muscle, less elegance. Some tannins behind, rich dark fruit, stopping short of chocolate notes, just. Good acidity too
