Tasting note
Dark crimson. Very heady nose – masses of alcohol and ripe black fruit with a hit of leather and apparently quite enough freshness. Very jubilant, almost triumphant cocktail of ripe fruit and spices with excellent acid balance. Tannins very fine. Plump and bumptious. Hint of liquorice too. Lots of pleasure even if not for the very long term. (JR)
