Tasting note
The 2024 Stars In The Dark is aged around 40% in 5,000-litre unlined concrete vats, the rest in neutral oak. This has superb pure black cherry and blueberry fruit that blossoms in the glass, a little more concentration than the '23, as you would expect, wonderful delineation. The palate is framed by silky smooth tannins, but there is real depth to this wine. Garrigues and touches of bacon fat, very Rhône-like, this lingers long in the mouth. Sheer class.

Tasting note
The 2022 Stars in the Dark comes from Cape Agulhas, stomped underfoot with one-third whole bunches, aged in 3rd and 4th fill French oak. The red fruit on the nose seems to "hug" the olfactory senses, very pure and beautifully delineated, an underlying mineralité gaining momentum with aeration. The mediumbodied palate has fine-grained tannins, extremely well-balanced with a precise, edgy finish, black pepper and black tea lingering temptingly. This continues Lambson's strong run of form and comes highly recommended.

Tasting note
The 2024 No Place Like Home comes from a Syrah parcel planted in 2006 that usually takes two and a half weeks or even longer to pick. Around 62% was aged in Lambson's newly installed 5,000-litre concrete vats, with around half the bunches whole cluster. This has a very pure and intense bouquet, with intense black fruit interlaced with pressed violet and peony. Stunning delineation. The palate is medium-bodied, with finely chiselled tannins, a silver bead of acidity, precise and mineral-led on the long finish. Outstanding
