Tasting note
The 2014 Clos de Mosny is at a wonderful stage in its evolution, throwing off the primary fruit of youth for a more savory, nutty character, reminiscent of almond meal and lanolin. And yet it's still not mature, with nectarine and pear tatin flavors holding on like a remnant of its earliest days. It is succulent yet serious with a fine line that runs through it like an arrow. The finish is a touch salty, and it would be nice to have a little more length. Blot purchased this vineyard in 2011; this is one of the earlier examples of his interpretation of site, and it's pretty impressive. Delectable now, but it will be lovely over the next five years
