If you're searching for the finest Hermitage wines, or iconic Syrah and Marsanne from the Northern Rhone, few names shine brighter than Maison M. Chapoutier. And we’re offering these legendary cuvées at exclusive special pricing — a rare chance to secure true icons at exceptional value.
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage, this family-owned icon is the largest vineyard owner on the legendary Hill of Hermitage – the undisputed heart of the Northern Rhone, where steep granite slopes produce profoundly age-worthy wines.
Visionary seventh-generation winemaker Michel Chapoutier revolutionized the estate in 1990 by pioneering full biodynamic and organic farming across all holdings – a bold, risky move that peers now follow. Low yields, meticulous single-vineyard Sélections Parcellaires (each a pure "photography" of its unique terroir), and ageing in French oak unlock opulent complexity.
The result speaks for itself: powerful, elegant Syrahs bursting with dark fruit, violet, spice, smoked meat, and mineral depth; lush Marsanne whites offering honeyed richness, stone fruit, floral notes, and layered minerality and complexity.
These are consistently the Rhone's finest – holding the world record for most 100-point Parker scores. Today, Michel and his daughter Mathilde lead with passion, terroir respect, and uncompromising quality.🔥
Don’t miss this time-limited offer till Jan 26 — add these benchmark Hermitage masterpieces to your collection while they last.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage de l'Oree Blanc 2006 - Bt | RP99
HK$1750 ▷ HK$1575
More tight and reserved than the open-knit Le Meal Blanc, the 2006 Ermitage Cuvee de l’Oree offers a heavenly bouquet of caramelized orchard fruits, celery seed, buttered hazelnuts, orange blossom and white flowers. Just crazy good on the palate, with full-bodied richness and a seamless, unctuous texture, it has incredible purity, precision and length, with this liquid rock-like minerality on the finish. It's just about as good as it gets, and while it's drinking great today, it should keep for 2-3 decades.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Meal Blanc 2006 - Bt | RP99
HK$1900 ▷ HK$1710
Easily the most exuberant and over the top of the three Ermitage Blanc cuvees, the 2006 Ermitage le Meal Blanc is still light gold in color and delivers a pedal-to-the-metal style in its honeysuckle, orange blossom, caramelized stone fruits, celery seed and even a hint of garlic. Deep, full-bodied, layered and seamless on the palate, it’s another wine that’s drinking at point today, yet will keep for another 2-3 decades.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage de l'Oree Blanc 2009 - Bt | RP100
HK$2400 ▷ HK$2160
There are 477 cases of the light gold-colored 2009 Ermitage Cuvee de l’Oree, which I would be happy to insert in a blind tasting against the world’s greatest dry white wines, including Montrachet. The famous gout de petrol is there along with hints of citrus oil, wet steel, crushed rocks, quince, white currants, anise and honeysuckle. Very full, with off-the-charts intensity, this wine was fashioned from yields of 13 hectoliters per hectare (which is financial suicide) from 90 to 100-year old Marsanne vines. The result is an amazingly concentrated white wine that should drink well for 50+ years.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage l'Ermite Rouge 2015 - Bt | RP100
HK$3300 ▷ HK$2970
My pick of Chapoutier's 2015 Ermitage bottlings on this occasion was the 2015 Ermitage l'Ermite. It just edged out the other wines for its incredible purity of cassis fruit, indelible intensity and massive concentration. Size doesn't matter if the other elements aren't there, but this wine is complex, balanced and long, a true tour de force. Hints of crushed stone, peppery spice and grilled meat are in the background right now, partially submerged under the waves of fruit and ripe tannins, so give it a decade or so to shed some of that puppy fat and reveal its true nature.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Pavillon 1989 - Bt | RP100
HK$3900 ▷ HK$3510
The 1989 Le Pavilion is a prodigious wine. Made from yields of 14 hectoliters per hectare, this parcel of old vines (averaging 70-80 years of age) has produced an opaque black/purple-colored wine, with a hauntingly stunning bouquet of violets, cassis, minerals, and new oak. In the mouth, the similarity in texture, richness, and perfect balance to the compelling 1986 Mouton-Rothschild is striking, only this wine is richer and longer. This extraordinarily well-balanced wine will probably not be ready to drink for at least 5-10 years, but it will evolve for three decades or more. It is an enormous yet amazingly well-delineated wine. I lament the fact that there are only 600 cases of this magnificent wine. This great Hermitage was the first of a trilogy (1989, 1990, and 1991) of exquisite Le Pavillons. Last tasted 12/95.

M. Chapoutier Ermitage L'Ermite Blanc 2001 - Bt | RP95-98
HK$3600 ▷ HK$3240
The 2001 Ermitage l’Ermite is aged in demi-muids on its lees with malolactic in the barrel, considerable lees stirring, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Displaying a liqueur of nut-like character along with hints of lychees, orange blossoms, and citrus oils in its pure, intensely mineral-styled personality, it is a prodigious effort that will have to take a back seat to the singular/remarkable 2000 l’Ermite. The 2001 should be at its finest between 2008-2030.
These uncompromising offerings from a young genius are not meant for consumers who want something to drink immediately. They are the essence of bio-dynamically farmed vineyard sites cropped incredibly low, given extended fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and rarely touched until they go into the bottle unfined and unfiltered. In most vintages, the wines are not even racked off their lees, which only adds to their natural style. These are truly remarkable wines, but for most readers, patience is the operative rule as they generally need a good 8-10 years to strut their stuff.
Once moribund, over the last 12 years, this firm has become one of the reference points for nearly all the Rhone Valley appellations since the brash yet immensely talented Michel Chapoutier took over in the late eighties. The single vineyard offerings are as good as Rhone Valley wines can be. Moreover, Chapoutier continues to upgrade the quality of those wines offered in more significant quantities than the 500 or so cases each of the single vineyard offerings.
