Deep in Celles-sur-Ource — the grower heart of the Cote des Bar, sharing the same magical Kimmeridgian limestone terroir as cult producer Cedric Bouchard — former jurist Etienne Sandrin and agricultural engineer Anne took over their family’s 10 hectares in 2006. They went fully organic by 2014 and biodynamic in 2015, farming gently with horses and selecting only the purest heart of each plot (selling the rest to biodynamic growers like Champagne Fleury and Clandestin). The result: 🥺just 7,000–15,000 bottles produced annually, vinified in stainless steel (no oak) to let the crystalline textures, vibrant fruit, and ethereal finesse shine.

His only blend: 80% Pinot Noir from Mouille-Brant (calcareous marls) and Vieux Moulin (clays) + 20% Pinot Blanc from Grille-Besace (windy limestone plateau), all flanking the Ource river. 2020’s sunny vintage gives subtle color from longer pressing; pure, unfiltered winemaking with 36+ months on lees. Tender red berries, ripe orange, lemon blossom; fresh, mineral palate with citrus tension and saline chalky finish.
