Tasting note

2018 is the first vintage of Bâtard-Montrachet for Pierre Vincent Girardin and he has made a great wine. Clean clear pale colour. There is good intensity for the vintage, a very clean and clear-cut stone fruit, no evident reduction, nor obtrusive oak. Now this fine Bâtard-Montrachet really kicks on, with fresh melon and ripe citrus, a level of fruit concentration which is very impressive in the 2018 vintage, culminating in a long finish. Very stylish and shows more refinement with time. Drink from 2027-2034.
