Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2020 - Bt | RP95

Tasting note

Classical, concentrated, seamless and silky. These are words I would use to describe the Mount Mary Vineyard Pinot Noir style, and the latter I would attribute to the masterful crafting of tannin that the Middletons have perfected in their vineyards. This 2020 Pinot Noir is supple and red-fruited, with a poise and clarity that goes long in the mouth. Right now, the fruit remains subdued and restrained as it glides across the tongue through the finish. The length of flavor explains, patiently, that the wine has far to go before it sleeps and that it has many layers to unfurl in that time. Patience, young one.
