Tasting note
Absolutely sensational, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2008 Zinfandel Dogtown Vineyard may be the finest effort I have yet tasted from this vineyard. Its fruit intensity even surpasses the brilliant 2007. Blackberry, black raspberry, roasted Provencal herb, and pepper aromas are followed by a meaty, thick, chewy Zinfandel with admirable purity, length, texture, and richness. This super wine should drink well for 5-8 years.
