Its 14 hectares of vineyards on Montalcino’s northeast slopes feature galestro, tuff, and clay soils ideal for Sangiovese. With vines aged 15–35 years, and some over 40 for the Riserva, Fuligni crafts wines of exceptional quality and character.

We’re excited to present Domaine Tortochot Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, with three back-vintages released ex-domaine in 2025 at prices matching current releases. Perfectly mature ready to drink now, these wines deliver the refined elegance of Gevrey-Chambertin. The producer’s own words, from their official website, say it best: “considered to be a feminine wine with plenty of finesse and elegance. Small red berries and silky tannins on the palate.”

Armed with a viticulture degree, oenology Master’s, and experience at Chapoutier in Rhone, Pibarnon in Bandol, Walla Walla in Washington State, plus analyzing virtually all Burgundy’s wines at an independent lab, Florence’s expertise crafts wines of Burgundian finesse and worldly sophistication.✨

With less than 2,000 cases produced annually from very old, low-yield vines in Puligny, these are rare gems. The estate’s sustainable practices – no insecticides or herbicides, hand-picked into small cases and use minimal new oak – ensure purity. Reds are light to medium-bodied, structured, with vibrant red berry and cherry notes that unfold beautifully with air. Whites outperform their classification: Bourgogne Blanc from Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet plots; Meursault, classic yet lively with acidity and tension; and Puligny Les Enseignères, nestled at the foot of Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet for unparalleled terroir.💓

Their holdings include two villages, three Premier Crus (Les Suchots, Aux Boudots, Les Damodes), and Grand Cru Echézeaux. Sam Lambson, a winemaker who, at just 21 and studying Oenology at Stellenbosch University, stole the show at a 2018 London trade tasting. His wines, celebrated for their vibrant acidity and pure expression, are truly something special.

The wine world is buzzing about him. Greg Sherwood MW calls Sam “a star to watch.” Neal Martin of Vinous.com tasted Sam’s Stars in the Dark Syrah 2019 and compared it to South Africa’s most legendary wines, predicting he’ll “have to get accustomed to adulation and demand outstripping supply”. Jancis Robinson MW was charmed by the 2018 Elim Syrah, calling it “delightfully transparent, savoury, and appetising”—a standout in the Cape’s Syrah scene.

This boutique Lower Helderberg winery from Southern Stellenbosch is the passion of seventh-generation winemaker Bernhard Bredell. Founded in 2016, its name blends “scion” (young vine or descendant) and “Sinai” (the hill where his family has farmed bush vines for over 160 years). Bernhard preserves these old vines while crafting wines that express the unique terroir. Producing under 900 cases annually, his wines are rare treasures.
