Tasting note
One third whole bunch vinification and 10-15% new wood. The grapes come from behind the cuverie through to Brochon. Usually the weightiest wines of Gevrey come from this sector. This starts well with a plump fruit but just a little drier than expected on the palate. The elements will all come together and then you have the choice of this more in your face Gevrey or the elegance of Ma Cuvée (under the Arnaud Mortet label). Tiny yields here - maybe the hail made a difference as it came just a week before the flowering. Drink from 2026-2030. Tasted Nov 2022.
