Tasting note

Luckert's 2019 Silvaner Maustal GG opens with pure, fresh and chalky sur lie aromas on the nose along with nice reduction, notes of white fruit and a dash of fresh lemon juice. Creamy and concentrated on the palate, this is a rich and intense yet very elegant, finessed and sustainable Maustal with a long, stimulatingly salty, energetic and tensioned finish. In fact, this is a pretty Burgundian Sylvaner from 60-year-old vines on pure limestone soils. The 2019 is even better than the 2018 and doesn't show any oak flavors. An impressive wine, in fact. Tasted in May 2020. To be released in September this year.
