Wine Dinner : A Night When Rare Whites Shine

  • Crown Wine Cellars Shouson Hill 18 Deep Water Bay Drive Deep Water Bay, Hong Kong Island Hong Kong SAR China (map)

Some wines are so rare they’re savored only by a fortunate few. On Thursday, July 24, we invite you to a Rare White Wine Dinner, where such treasures take center stage.

Our selection includes the Chateau Palmer Vin Blanc de Palmer 2021 from Bordeaux, with only a 100 cases produced annually, captivates with its uncommon blend of Muscadelle, Lauzet, and Sauvignon Gris, delivering a sophisticated palate. The Didier Dagueneau Pouilly-Fume Silex 2016 from the Loire Valley draws distinctive minerality and longevity from flint-rich soils, a true collector’s gem. The Morlet Family Vineyards La Proportion Doree 2006, a mature California blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, delivers balance and layered complexity.

The collection continues. Les Horees Bourgogne Aligote En Coulezain 2020. Sourced from 30-year-old vines from Volnay’s deep grey marl soils, it offers vibrant character in a highly sought-after, small-production bottle. Frederic Cossard (Domaine de Chassorney) Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres Premier Cru 2020, a Burgundy masterpiece, blends sharp minerality with balanced fruit and refined texture. The Bodegas Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay 2019, an Argentine single-vineyard Chardonnay, shines with vibrant minerality and refined elegance, earning RP99 on the Wine Advocate.

Domaine Labet Cotes du Jura La Bardette Chardonnay 2015 comes from old vines planted in 1947 on shallow clay over fossil-and-seashell-rich limestone, with deep layered texture and beautiful minerality. We also have the Domaine des Miroirs Sonorite du Vent Les Saugettes 2014, a cult Jura Chardonnay prized for its purity and complexity, with its tiny production and that over 80% of the production has been exported to Japan, this is a rare unicorn wine with some age. The Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia Reserva Blanco 2012, an oxidative white Rioja, surprises with complex notes of nuts, honey, and dried fruits.

This exclusive dinner pairs these hard-to-find wines with food designed to complement their distinct profiles, from crisp minerality to layered complexity. It’s a unique opportunity to taste such wonderful bottles, and we look forward to sharing these with you.🍽️
